What Is Affinity House?<\/h2>\n\t

Affinity House is a community-based Clubhouse located in St. Joseph County, Michigan dedicated to supporting adults living with mental illness. Guided by the internationally recognized Clubhouse Model<\/a> of psychosocial rehabilitation, Affinity House provides a welcoming, restorative environment where members work side by side to build confidence, develop skills, and reconnect with their community.<\/p>\n

Through opportunities for employment, education, social connection, skill development, housing support, and wellness activities, members are empowered to move forward in their recovery journey. At Affinity House, every person is valued for the strengths they bring. Together, we are building a community where everyone truly has a place to belong.<\/p>\n\t

Affinity House offers a supportive environment where members find encouragement from others on a shared path of recovery. An on-site clinic offers both psychiatric and primary healthcare services in one coordinated setting, supporting the whole person and promoting lasting wellness.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

Health & Wellness<\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

Affinity House promotes health and wellness by helping members stay active, connected, and nourished each day. Members enjoy daily nutritious meals and take part in activities like walking groups, wellness challenges, and other health-focused programs that encourage movement, healthy habits, and overall well-being.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

Employment & Education<\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

Mental illness can make finding and keeping a job challenging. At Affinity House, members receive support through Transitional and Supported Employment opportunities, helping them build confidence, develop workplace skills, and succeed in meaningful employment with the encouragement of the Clubhouse community.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

Social Events & Holidays<\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

In the spirit of community and connection, Affinity House hosts special gatherings and holiday events. These clubhouse activities give members a chance to relax, celebrate, and enjoy time together, because fun and friendship are an important part of building wellness and belonging.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t

Mental illness affects many people in our community and across the nation. Nearly one in four individuals lives with a mental health condition, yet many never receive the full support they need. Even when treatment is available, people can still face isolation and a lack of meaningful connection. Affinity House helps bridge that gap in St. Joseph County, offering a welcoming community where members can build purpose, relationships, and a path forward in recovery.<\/p>\n

Affinity House has also received three-year accreditation from Clubhouse International, the highest level awarded, recognizing its commitment to the proven Clubhouse Model and the quality of support provided to members.<\/p>\n
